FW-1082 FireWire Computer Audio Interface & Control
Surface |

|
Your interface, control surface,
and recording software needs are covered!
The TASCAM FW-1082 FireWire Computer Audio Interface & Control
Surface features moving faders for powerful, intuitive
control. TASCAM puts this audio and MIDI interface
in your home or pro studio at an astonishingly
low price. Features 10 inputs, including 4 balanced
XLR mic inputs with phantom power. 2 MIDI inputs
and outputs, plus S/PDIF digital I/O. 8 channel
strips feature 60mm touch-sensitive moving faders
with select/solo/mute buttons, plus a master fader.
Includes the following software: Cubasis LE 96kHz/48-track
recording software, GigaStudio 3 LE streaming sampler
and Nomad Factory plug-in demos.
Going far beyond the capabilities of similarly
lower-priced budget interfaces, the FW-1082's 10
inputs are rated at 96kHz. Combined with 48 tracks
at 96/24 resolution from the bundled Cubase LE
software, consummate pro-quality recording becomes
a reality. The faders, encoders, and transport
controls are smooth and precise. The value for
anyone breaking into home recording.
The FW-1082 is a great choice for small studios,
whether someone is just starting out or if they're
upgrading their equipment. Its 4 microphone inputs,
2 with analog insert jacks, have phantom power
for professional condenser microphones. 4 additional
line inputs and an S/PDIF stereo input add up to
10 inputs simultaneously, each at 96kHz/24-bit
audio resolution. 2 MIDI inputs and outputs are
provided for 32 channels of MIDI synth playback
or control. The control surface has 9 - 60mm touch-sensitive
moving faders for silky-smooth control over channel
level, pan, or aux settings. 4 encoders are also
available for mix control, as well as transport
and jog/shuttle controls. Stereo monitoring is
included, and the FW-1082 even mixes signals internally
for stand-alone use.
