High frequencies and midrange are clean and articulated. Low frequencies are no more or less than what you recorded -- you can actually hear the distinct tonal qualities (and harmonic quantities) of a particular bass instrument -- instead of just a "generic" bass note. Most important, the sweet spot is a broad, three-dimensional area that gives you room to move up, down and across the console. In short, instead of having its own distinctive "sound," the HR824 sounds like the outputs of your mixer.

The Mackie HR624 is a THX-approved, six-inch, two-way active reference monitor that provides the same legendary accuracy of Mackie's HR824 in a more compact, lighter-weight, lower-priced package. The HR624 is designed to work perfectly with the Mackie HRS120, 12" 400-watt active subwoofer system as well as the Mackie HR824 active 8" monitor in surround installations.

The Mackie HR624 is the ideal choice for smaller recording studios, or home and project studios looking for a monitor with the best combination of features and value. Through shared acoustic technology, the HR624 offers the same clarity and responsiveness of the HR824, but in a smaller size. Its six-inch woofer offers smooth, detailed mid-range frequency responsiveness with the same high-end clarity and low-end punch as the HR824. With extremely even dispersion for a wider "sweet spot" and user-adjustable controls for different acoustic spaces, the HR624 is an excellent choice for high precision, near-field sound reinforcement.

What's more, given the HR624's high output, wide frequency response and small size, it is also ideally suited for rear surround sound channels in home theater installations. Mackie is so confident in the HR624's frequency response that each speaker comes with a certificate of calibration.

The HR626 is the first active Mackie studio monitor with a D’Appolito woofer-tweeter-woofer design. It has one 6.7-inch woofer on each end of the cabinet with the dome tweeter in the center. The monitor can be setup vertically or horizontally, depending on the application.

The 2-way bi-amplified monitor implements servo-feedback circuitry and an elliptical passive radiator to achieve low distortion and extended low-frequency response similar to the HR824. The waveguide-loaded high frequency aluminum dome tweeter provides the same crisp and evenly dispersed highs as all of Mackie’s world-class reference monitors. The 5 /8-inch internally braced MDF cabinet is extremely rigid and non-resonant. It shares the same professional design as the other Mackie monitors – the HR824 and the HR624.

The HR626 is the ideal monitor for those who need lots of bottom end, along with the low-level accuracy of the mid range for mixing and vocal placement. Thanks to its D’Appolito driver alignment design, the HR626 can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions. Placing the HR626 in a vertical position provides extremely accurate reference monitoring for mid-to large-sized studios. Because of its symmetrical left-right sound field, it can also be placed horizontally and used as a superior center channel in a 5.1 or 7.1 surround monitoring or home theater system.

The Mackie HRS120 is a THX-approved, twelve-inch active subwoofer that is ideal for applications where precise, low frequency reproduction and flexible monitoring and control options are required. The HRS120 is engineered to work in harmony with the HR824 and HR624.

The Mackie HRS120 Active Subwoofer is one of the most flexible, responsive, and cost-effective active studio sub woofers on the market today. The HRS120 is perfectly suited for professional recording studios and film/video surround post-production facilities that require extremely accurate bass extension to 19Hz and below. It is also an excellent choice for home theater surround sound installations. In addition to surround applications, the HRS120 can add more low-end presence and enhancement to project and professional studios in a standard stereo configuration. Either way, the HRS120 is a must-have for those customers seeking crisp, clear, detailed low-frequency enhancement for virtually any application.

The HRS150 active subwoofer has a 15-inch downward firing woofer and two side-firing 12-inch passive radiators. Powered by 950 watts of low-distortion Mackie Active Amplification, the sub provides a tight and accurate response with high output. A power supply tracking peak limiter protects the transducer and ensures long-term reliability for the most extreme subwoofer requirements.

XLR and RCA input and output connections provide easy compatibility with professional and consumer systems. Left and Right inputs are provided for a 24 dB per octave variable crossover ranging from 55 – 110 Hz allowing the sub to match crossover points with any main monitors on the market today! The unique footswitch option allows for convenient monitoring of mains and a sub with crossover, or mains at full range with no sub.

The 950-watt HRS150, which joins the HRS120 subwoofer in the Mackie HR Active Studio Monitor family, is meant to provide a sub for more demanding low-end mixes. For example, it is ideal for house, hip hop and rap music that has an extended low end content. The HRS150 is the excellent choice for rooms where louder mixes and accuracy need to be achieved at very low frequencies. Because of its great size and immense power, this sub is also ideal for bass management when asked to reproduce the low frequency energy of all the mixing channels.
