| Karma |
 |
Korg
is always dreaming up innovative ways to make keyboards
more expressive, more powerful, more musical, and when
they created a technology called KARMA, they knew they
found one. Seven years after assembling a global team
of skilled engineers, programmers, and musicians, the
Karma Music Workstation brought new music-making possibilities
to life.
To start, it's synth and effects engines are identical
to Triton's - so you know how great it sounds. It's also
compatible with Triton sound data and supports the same
user installable PCM and MOSS expansion options so your
sound palette can grow. Plus, the Karma provides the
same feature-packed 16-track sequencer that has made
the Korg Triton the leader in music workstations. So
what makes this new keyboard so special?
It's KARMA, Korg's revolutionary technology that generates
amazing phrases, grooves, and other musical effects that
can be altered and ramdomized in real-time. With a bank
of knobs and switches, you control elements like rhythmic
complexity, harmony, melodic repeat, phrasing, panning...
even the synth's sound and effects.
Karma gives you the power to play impossible, interweaving
cascades of notes, techno arpeggios and effects, dense
rhythmic and melodic textures, natural sounding glissandos,
intricate fingerpicking and guitar strumming, swooping
portamento, and pich bend moves to name a few. The only
limiting factor is your imagination. |

| MS2000 |
Since
it's introduction in 1978, the Korg MS series of
synthesizers caused a sensation by it's sound, looks,
and flexibility in sound creation. More than twenty
years later, a new MS instrument is born, fusing
the functionality of the SQ10 analog sequencer and
VC-10 vocoder that were also part of Korg's lineup.
The MS2000 simultaneously returns to the origin of
synthesizers and opens a new universe of possibilities.
The
tone generator of the MS2000 uses a DSP-powered
analog modeling system. The analog modeling system
acclaimed on the Korg Prophecy, Z1, and Electribe
series has been refined to produce an incredibly
wide range of sounds. From sharply cutting to powerful
and thick, all the awesome sonic power that can
be produced only by DSP technology is packed into
a compact keyboard. All major sound parameters
are arranged on the front panel, allowing you the
total freedom of manipulating knobs and switches
in real time. |

| N364 |
 |
Let's
face it, a musical instrument is only as good as
it sounds; and the more sounds - the merrier. The
N364 is absolutely brimming with 936 programs and
combos based on 8MB of PCM ROM featuring 430 Multisounds
and 215 drum sounds. And the N-Series sounds rely
on Korg's renowned AI2 Synthesis System, the same
system that's found in the 01/W and X-Series Music
Workstations.
Whether you're creating complex sequences or using rich
layers of sound, the new N-Series with 64-note polyphony
can keep up.
RPPR,
Real-time Pattern Play and Record, lets you record
and save musical phrases and ideas as patterns.
You can play a pattern back by simply pressing
the key you've assigned it to.
The
N-series has 100 RPPR pattern memory locations. Use
the ones that come from the factory (we think they're
pretty cool), edit them, or create your own. You
can even store RPPR patterns on a floppy. |

| X5D |
 |
With
it's wealth of high-quality sounds and superior functions,
the new X5D offers all the performance power of top
level synthesizers. The X5D is so amazingly easy
to use, it's ideal for beginners. And because it's
so inexpensive, it gives you a huge bang for your
buck.
Using
the acclaimed AI2 Synthesis systems, the X5D gives
you 8MB of PCM wave form memory. It features 430
Multi sounds and 215 drum/percussion sounds, plus
a whopping 64 notes of polyphony for even the most
complex passages.
There are also two completely independent dynamic
multi-effects processors, featuring 47 different
effect types, including delay, reverb, distortion
and rotary speaker, making it possible to get exactly
the sound you need.

| Z1 |
 |
Previous
DSP synthesizers may have gained a reputation for
a single type of sound modeling, but the Z1, using
Korg's advanced MOSS (Multi-Oscillator Synthesis
System) technology, provides an awesome array of
sounds, from imitative to imaginative. Standard polyphony
is 12 voices, and an optional board will expand the
Z1's polyphony to a whopping 18 voices!
MOSS tone generation is the result of years of research
and development. The oscillator algorithms of the Z1's
tone generator are direct descendants of Korg's legendary
OASYS development platform. It's the result of years
of development of detailed models and a toolkit approach
to synthesis voice design, and it gives the Z1 unsurpassed
sonic power.
