Host
bus adapters, or HBAs, are neccessary when connecting
a peripheral to a computer that doesn't have native
support for that peripheral's interface. Glyph sells
HBAs supporting all major operating systems, with
various connection interfaces and speeds.

Glyph
products are compatible with Macintosh, Windows,
Linux, and other operating systems, using a variety
of formats (file systems), including Mac HFS Extended
(and standard), Windows FAT32 and NTFS, and various
Linux file systems.
No
additional software is required for normal usage
under Mac OS X, Windows, or Linux.
Older
versions of the Macintosh operating system (Mac OS
9.x) require that hard drives include a "driver" on
the disk. Glyph Professional A/V drives are formatted
with this driver installed. However, due to limitations
in Mac OS 9.x, you cannot re-partition hard drives
without an additional utility. Your purchase of a
Glyph Professional A/V drive entitles you to a copy
of an OS 9.x-compatible disk utility |

WildFire
is the ultimate portable, easy-to-use, rewritable
optical recorder. Its speed and reliability make
it an excellent addition to any studio. WildFire
has the features you need to fully master your CDs
and DVDs. It is available with either a 52x CD-R/RW,
or the new Pioneer DVR-A07.
The
Pioneer A07 handles DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and CD-R/RW,
and is an 8x8 format writer, meaning it is capable
of writing at 8x speed on DVD-R and DVD+R discs.
It will record DVD-RW and +RW discs at up to 45x
speed, and CD-R and CD-RW discs at up to 24x speed.
The CD-R/RW is a 52x/24x/52x (write/re-write/read)
mechanism, giving you the fastest available speeds
for all your CD work (specify the A07 for DVDs).
WildFire
ships with cable, Mac/PC software and media so you
can start burning right away.
WildFire is a great alternative to a SCSI CD-R/RW.
Because it's FireWire, it's simple to use and won't
require a PCI card which uses up a PCI slot. FireWire's
hot-pluggable dynamic reconfiguration means that you
can re-cable your peripheral devices without re-booting.
The WildFire utilizes the Oxford 911 bridging chip
which is optimized for optical applications as specified
by Glyph. |

High-performance
Tape Back-up
As robust as today's hard drives may be they are still
mechanical devices that will stop working one day.
In addition, with the advent of 96kHz and higher sampling
rates, audio files are larger then ever, which means
we need more and more storage space. With this in mind,
high capacity, reliable backup solutions are even more
critical than ever.
Tape is a natural backup method because of its long shelf
life and durability. It also provides greater transfer
speeds than previous methods while constantly offering
higher storage capacities. AIT Format
From
the industry giant, Glyph now offers AIT drives
in FireWire and SCSI, tabletop and rack-mountable.
Our AIT line is available in capacities of 35GB,
50GB and 100GB per tape, utilizing AIT-1, AIT-2
and AIT-3 respectively. The AIT format was developed
to handle large capacity requirements for data-intensive
applications, and works exceptionally well for
digital audio and video. It employs a helical scan
recording style in which data tracks are written
at an angle relative to the edge of the tape. This
provides higher density recording, giving you lower
media costs and increased efficiency by storing
more data on a smaller amount of tape.
