To many, the Stratocaster, with its myriad of available sounds, is the most versatile guitar ever built. The TSV (Two-Stud Vibrato) Powerbridge pickup expands this legendary utility with a whole new acoustic dimension. Fits guitars with Strat style (2.187" stud spacing) knife edge vibrato bridges. 

The sound and look of a classic vintage Strat is so indelibly etched in our minds, we take for granted that it has basically defined electric guitar sound for the last forty years. To acknowledge this guitar and usher it into the next century, we present the VMV (Vintage Mount Vibrato) Powerbridge Pickup, a drop in replacement for a six-screw Strat Style vibrato bridge. The solid metal VMV mounts into most U.S. vintage-style Strats (2.220" E to E pivot screw spacing), without cosmetic or structural alteration to the instrument. 

Warning: Strats with Metric six-screw bridges (For example: Squire and Mexican Standard), may not share the same 2.220" (56.38mm) pivot screw spacing as the VMV. In these cases, it may be necessary to plug and re-drill the existing pivot screw holes on these guitars.

This re-introduced Powerbridge pickup offers the convenience and flexibility of a Wilkinson-style vibrato bridge, with several updates and improvements over its predecessor, the VS-100P. A new design for the piezo assembly improves the pickup’s response and reduces string breakage. All critical adjustments to the saddle height/intonation and vibrato arm can now be easily accessed with the a single 1.5mm hex wrench. A Drop in replacement for instruments with Fender™ style two-stud vibrato bridges.

The VT (Vintage Tele) Powerbridge pickup replaces the classic stamped bridge on Tele Style guitars with original spec. lead pickup position.

Basic system operation requires that you split the passive Powerbridge and magnetic pickup signals to separate amplifiers. All Powerbridge pickups are supplied with complete installation kits. Installation by a qualified repairperson is strongly recommended.

The AST Powerbridge pickup replaces the bridge on modern-style American Standard Telecaster style Fender guitars (early 1980's on) with the lead pickup moved 1/8" closer to the bridge saddles.

installed the prototype of our Tune-o-matic Powerbridge pickup on a classic flame top Les Paul, it became apparent from the first power chord, that this combination is destined for greatness. The unique sonic contrast between the Powerbridge pickup and that classic Les Paul tone, made us realize that this may well be the definitive acoustic/electric guitar sound.

Note: A special "long-shaft" Powerchip circuit is available for Les Paul installations.

The essential onboard accessory for mixing of your Powerbridge and magnetic pickups: this Fishman-designed piezo volume control works in conjunction with the exclusive "Smart Switch" circuit, which automatically splits your piezo and magnetic signals to stereo or mixes them to mono. Requires 9-Volt battery installation. Battery box also available from Fishman.

Professional installation is recommended.
