| DDP
Digital Dynamics Processor |
| The
dbx® DDP offers you the processing power
of digital, with the great sounds you know and
want from the analog world. Plus, with digital
technology, we can offer you more precise control
and extended parameters than you could ever have
with analog processing. The DDP gives you a true
stereo processor, coupled with dbx® True
RMS Power Summing technology, or two independent
mono units, giving you the versatility and power
of processors costing many times more. Gating,
compression (yes, with OverEasy®, all-new
VariKnee, or good ol' hard knee thresholds),
limiting, de-essing and EQ (both in-path and
sidechain) are available in the DDP in any order
you want. The possibilities are endless. The
LCD display shows you all the information you
need to know, complete with a digital meter that
will blow your socks off, featuring peak and
average levels at the same time. |

| Quantum
II™ |
| The
dbx Quantum II is the first studio mastering
tool that offers sampling rates up to 96kHz,
with a true 48-bit digital signal path, and the
superior dbx dynamics processing that has been
making the hits for 30 years. Insert the Quantum
II into the master outputs of any console or
workstation and turn out a professional master
every time. The patented dbx dynamics processing
is now available in a 4-band multiband system.
The 4-way crossover splits the signal into 4-bands,
and each band may be individually gated, compressed,
and limited. The patented dbx TYPE IV™ Conversion
System allows you to retain the warmth and body
of the signal, while adding punch and depth.
In addition, the intuitive user interface puts
all the mastering processes you need right at
your fingertips. |

Dual 15-Band Graphic Equalizer |
The
magnetically isolated transformer, electronically
balanced/unbalanced inputs and servo balanced/unbalanced
outputs, RF-filtered inputs and outputs, and
power-off hard-wire relay bypass with 2 second
power up delay were steps our engineers took
to ensure compatibility for all installations.
Only the best components were utilized, yielding
a 10Hz to 50kHz frequency response, greater
than 90dB SNR (ref +4dBu), less than 0.005%
THD +Noise (1kHz at +4dBu), and interchannel
crosstalk of less than -80dB from 20Hz to 20kHz.
All this attention to detail is contained in
a 2U steel/aluminum chassis. |

Dual 31-Band Graphic Equalizer |
| The
dbx® 12 Series were designed to meet the
needs of the most demanding sound reinforcement
environments, while offering the simplicity of
straightforward controls. The 1231 provides standard
features like dual-channels, 31 1/3 octave bands,
ISO frequency centers, +/- 12 dB input gain range,
and switchable 40Hz/18 dB per octave low-cut
filters, but also includes other insightful features.
These include 45 mm faders; selectable +/-6dB
or +/-15dB boost/cut range for precise gain adjustments;
XLR, barrier strip, and 1/4'' TRS connectors
for installation ease; balanced inputs and outputs
for quiet operation; and chassis/signal ground
lift capabilities for quick hum isolation. |

Single 31-Band Graphic Equalizer |
| It's
amazing. One little button. So much effect. dbx® Type
III® Noise Reduction is an entirely new concept...
virtually instantaneous encode/decode within
the circuitry of the box. We started out to build
the finest EQs possible, boxes with the heritage
and performance to rival our famous 30 Series
EQs. And to no one's surprise they came out awfully
darn good. (Ask to see the Audio Precision plots
compared to the competition.) But then, Roger
(our chief engineer, a nice guy, as far as engineers
go) got the crazy idea of putting this new noise
reduction stuff in the box. We listened to it
and were amazed. The EQs sounded great without
it but with it the performance was nothing short
of incredible. |
 |
- Revolutionary
instant encode/decode Type III® Noise
Reduction in-circuit at the push of a button.
Increases S/N ratio by up to 20dB
- Patent-pending
PeakPlus® Limiter threshold range from
0dBu to +24dBu (off) can transparently tame
the wildest hits or the subtlest nuances of
any signal
- An
extremely high quality EQ, patent-pending Type
III Noise Reduciton, and the elegant new PeakPlus
Limiter all in one great sounding box
- Four
segment LED bargraph for BOTH Gain Reduction
AND Output Level offers the most comprehensive
visual feedback available
- Status
LEDs offer visual feedback for all settings
on the front panel
